Rooted in history and looking to the future
Facilette is now run by father and daughter, Patrik and Elna Fajersson. With Patrik’s many years of experience and Elna as a representative of the new generation, tradition and innovation are combined. Together they continue to build on the heritage that the Fajersson family has nurtured for three generations.
Our story began back in 1952
In 1952, Gösta Fajersson bought some second-hand sewing machines and started running a business under the name Silkeskonfektion, in Väring outside Skövde. He quickly began to manufacture clothing in the new material nylon, which aroused great interest. The company grew rapidly and the premises were no longer sufficient.
In 1959, Gösta’s son Åke Fajersson started working in the company. It was then decided that the company would be moved to Lidköping. In 1964, production finally started in Lidköping and the name was changed to Facilette. From having focused on clothing, production was increasingly directed towards technical textiles.
Today Facilette AB is run by Åke’s son Patrik Fajersson, who is the third generation of entrepreneurs, and Patrik’s daughter Elna Fajersson, who is the fourth generation.
